Now things are getting good!
This week may be the first week in which there are several games that are seemingly too close to call. Sure you still have games like the Chiefs/Broncos and the Jets don’t have a bye week so there’s that. But get a few lines down, and you could make a case for every remaining game to be on every remaining line.
It’s week like this that we need to be on our game! Strong results in tough weeks mean further separation for us from the rest of the pack in your yearlong pool.
So let’s get at it!
Week 7 – HERE WE GO!!!!
(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)
14 – Buffalo over NEW YORK JETS – It takes a special scenario to have a road team on our top line and the Jets are pretty special this year. But it’s just the top line, it’s not like the top TWO lines are road teams…
13 – Kansas City over DENVER – …wait a minute. OK I know Denver beat the Pats last week but they have to deal with a Chiefs team that now doesn’t take divisional games for granted.
12 – LOS ANGELES CHARGERS over Jacksonville – I would like to thank the Jaguars for helping keeping my one-win prediction alive and well!
11 – LOS ANGELES RAMS over Chicago – I have been on the Bears case pretty much all season. If they can win in LA, I will officially consider them a contender.
10 – NEW ORLEANS over Carolina – Reports are coming out that Michael Thomas may not be playing in this one either. If he doesn’t, feel free to drop the Saints a few lines.
9 – PHILADELPHIA over New York Giants – Oh the NFC East. My BOLD PREDICTION for this week is that THE EAGLES WILL WIN THE NFC EAST…WITH ONLY SIX WINS.
8 – Seattle over ARIZONA – This is where games get really hard to rank. The Cardinals could pull this out but the Seahawks look pretty strong.
7 – Green Bay over HOUSTON – Rodgers and the boys will have a lot to prove after their embarrassing performance in Tampa last week.
6 – TENNESSEE over Pittsburgh – Derrick Henry vs the Steelers defense is the proverbial “irresistible force meeting the immovable object” and should provide a fantastic game!
5 – Tampa Bay over LAS VEGAS – I’ve been a Raiders fan long enough to know that winning two big games in a row just doesn’t happen.
4 – Cleveland over CINCINNATI – The battle of Ohio…is probably exciting for those in Ohio…probably.
3 – NEW ENGLAND over San Francisco – If ever there was a game involving two teams that desperately need a win.
2 – Detroit over ATLANTA – The Falcons won last week…doesn’t mean that we have to have any sort of confidence in them.
1 – Dallas over WASHINGTON – Depending on how the Giants/Eagles game goes, one of these teams could be in first place…just let that sink in.
