I’ve been following sports and wrestling since I can remember. Not too much, aside from my family, gives me as much joy as watching my Raiders, Blackhawks, Bulls, White Sox or WWE. Add in some honey Jack to sip on and that’s the equation for a perfect evening!
We are at the point where most of the fantasy football playoff spots have been determined.
Some spots are still being fought over but a lot of teams are looking to next year.
For fantasy football that is. Lucky for them, the confidence pool gives you a chance to win every week! So no slowing down here!
Week 11 – HERE WE GO!!!!
(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)
14 – OAKLAND over Cincinnati – As a Raiders fan, I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to put the Raiders at the top of the list…AND have it be for them to win!
13 – MINNESOTA over Denver – The Vikings have proven that the Packers won’t be running away with the division this year.
12 – SAN FRANCISCO over Arizona – A home game against the Cardinals is just what a team that just suffered their first loss needs.
11 – LOS ANGELES RAMS over Chicago – Remember when this was a marquee matchup last season? Well Bear fans are doing a lot of last year remembering lately.
10 – INDIANAPOLIS over Jacksonville –I think the Jags are going to regret the decision to give up the Mustache
9 – Buffalo over MIAMI – Is it weird that I contemplated the Dolphins winning this one? You know what, we’re gonna put a CYA move here – my BOLD PREDICTION for this week is that THE DOLPHINS WILL HAVE A THREE GAME WIN STREAK
8 – BALTIMORE over Houston – If Lamar Jackson wants to win the MVP, a great showing in this potential AFC Championship preview couldn’t hur.
7 – CAROLINA over Atlanta – This all depends on the health of Christian McCaffrey – and unfortunately for the Falcons, all signs point to a healthy Run CMC
6 – PHILADELPHIA over New England – Again, this is what happens when the Patriots play a good team.
5 – CLEVELAND over Pittsburgh – I’m not saying the Browns will make the playoffs, but a win against the Steelers is almost as good to Browns fans.
4 – Dallas over DETROIT – The Cowboys need to realize that the Eagles are right on their heels.
3 – WASHINGTON over New York Jets – An obvious Super Bowl preview…for ‘Skins and Jets fans who bought Madden and made several trades to give their teams some sort of talent and changed the difficulty to easy!
2 – LOS ANGELES CHARGERS over Kansas City – Remember how amazing this primetime matchup was late last year? Expect more of the same this Monday Night!
1 – TAMPA BAY over New Orleans – Hunch…pure hunch…take it for what its worth.
Remember how excited you were when on your 10th birthday? You reached double digits!
Well, we have reached week 10! Hooray for double digit weeks! It also means that we are getting closer and closer to the end of the season…which means that every game is crucial is key to hang on to that lead that you no doubt have in your pool … … … you’re welcome!
Week 10 – HERE WE GO!!!!
(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)
13 – NEW ORLEANS over Atlanta – The Falcons don’t exactly have the “team that just went to the Super Bowl a couple years ago” vibe when filling these out.
12 – Baltimore over CINCINNATI – Lamar and friends showed the world that the Patriots aren’t as dominant as they seemed…I think they can manage a quick trip to Cincy.
11 – GREEN BAY over Carolina – Run CMC will have a huge game and the Panthers will be embarrassed by a good team…I feel like I’ve seen this one before.
10 – INDIANAPOLIS over Miami – Congrats Dolphins, you got one! … … … probably won’t get two, though.
9 – OAKLAND over Los Angeles Chargers – This will be the last prime time game played in Oakland, the Coliseum will be rocking!
8 – DALLAS over Minnesota – No black cat curse can stop the Cowboys apparently! … something I can honestly say I wasn’t expecting to type anytime soon.
7 – New York Giants over NEW YORK JETS – Every four years we get the fun instance of New York playing New York…in New Jersey.
6 – CLEVELAND over Buffalo – I still feel like the Browns have one more solid win in them this year.
5 – TAMPA BAY over Arizona – I honestly can’t think of anything to say for this one…it’s going to be a boring game.
4 – Kansas City over TENNESSEE – This is based on Mahomes not playing – if he is playing, feel free to bump the Chiefs up a few lines.
3 – PITTSBURGH over Los Angeles Rams – Are the Rams going to finish in the bottom half of the NFC West? Kind of seems like it.
2 – SAN FRANCISCO over Seattle – Who knew that this would be a Game of the Year candidate?
1 – CHICAGO over Detroit – I think the Bears win this one…but still…my BOLD PREDICTION for this week is that THE BEARS WILL FINISH WITH LESS THAN 150 PASSING YARDS AGAINST THE HORRIBALE LIONS PASS DEFENSE.
We are over the halfway point of the season already! Time is indeed flying by.
If you have been following along, you should be in a good place to make a second run at the top spot in your confidence pool…you’re welcome! If you need my email address to send my cut of your winnings through PayPal, just let me know :)
Week 9 – HERE WE GO!!!!
(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)
14 – BUFFALO over Washington – Good news for the Skins, Trent Williams reported! Bad news…he still doesn’t want to play for you!
13 – SEATTLE over Tampa Bay – Everyone is talking about the 49ers, Saints and Packers in the NFC – don’t sleep on these Seahawks!
12 – PHILADELPHIA over Chicago – Bear fans…I feel for you. My BOLD PREDICTION for this week is that THE BEARS WILL BE SHUT OUT THIS WEEK.
11 – Houston over JACKSONVILLE (in London) – Sunday football gets an early start from London as Watson and Hopkins will probably make the Jaguars regret trading Jalen Ramsey.
10 – Green Bay over LOS ANGELES CHARGERS – Is there really such thing as a Chargers home game? Not in the stands, at least!
9 – San Francisco over ARIZONA – No, the 9ers will not go undefeated all season…just for another week.
8 – CAROLINA over Tennessee – The Panthers are not normally a team that gives up 51 points in a game and I expect them to make a point of reminding the league that this week.
7 – Indianapolis over PITTSBURGH – Steelers, you let the Dolphins get out to a 14 point lead last week in Pittsburgh…you don’t get to win a home game this week!
6 – BALTIMORE over New England – This is what happens when the Patriots have to play a team with talent!!
5 – Dallas over NEW YORK GIANTS – Obviously the Cowboys are the better team, but there is just a strange feeling I have that removes some of my confidence.
4 – OAKLAND over Detroit – After SEVEN…long…weeks…finally, the Raiders…have come back…HOME!
3 – KANSAS CITY over Minnesota – This is a for a confidence pool…how much confidence do you have in a Mahomes-less Chiefs team? If you decided to pick the Vikings in this number slot, I get it!
2 – DENVER over Cleveland – The Browns are just falling about and unfortunately, at least off the field, the Ryan Leaf seems to be coming out of Baker Mayfield.
1 – New York Jets over MIAMI – Dolphins, if you want to win a game, it will probably be now or never!
We are at the heart of the fantasy football season!
At this point, you know whether or now you have a chance to make your playoffs. If you don’t, well that’s just another reason the confidence pool is so great! Even if you are down big in your year-long pool, it just takes a couple weeks to climb from the bottom of the board to the top. So no matter where you are sitting in the standings now, you’re still in it!
Week 8 – HERE WE GO!!!!
(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)
15 – LOS ANGELES RAMS over Cincinnati – After an unexpectedly slow start for the defending NFC Champs, back to back games against the Falcons and Bengals I’m sure are more than welcome.
14 – MINNESOTA over Washington – Bad news for the Vikes is that Adam Thielen is out. Good news is that they host the Redskins, soooooooooo…does it matter?
13 – JACKSONVILLE over New York Jets – Insert “seeing ghosts” related joke here>
12 – SAN FRANCISCO over Carolina – OK, this has to stop at some point, the 9ers won’t be going 16-0 this season…loss number one just won’t be coming yet.
11 – INDIANAPOLIS over Denver – Jacoby Brissett is… … … legit?
10 – NEW ORLEANS over Arizona – Drew? Drew who? … ok let’s not go crazy, it’s Drew Brees and he’ll be back soon but the Saints have done just fine without him.
9 – PITTSBURGH over Miami – Yes, this would be a lot bolder if done earlier in the season, but my BOLD PREDICTION for this week is that THE DOLPHINS WILL FINISH THE SEASON 0-16. If a home game against the Redskins won’t get them in the win column, Miami doesn’t really have too many other chances.
8 – DETROIT over New York Giants – I wonder how good the Lions would look if they weren’t in the NFC North.
7 – TENNESSEE over Tampa Bay – I don’t live in Nashville or Florida so this game does nothing for me.
6 – NEW ENGLAND over Cleveland – Well at least the Patriots are transitioning from playing bad teams to at least playing bad teams that should have been good.
5 – Seattle over ATLANTA – With the game and a recent matchup in Cleveland, the Seahawks road schedule ended up being a lot easier than I’m sure they thought it would be.
4 – HOUSTON over Oakland – Can’t say it was too smart of the Raiders to trade one of their starting cornerbacks to the team are playing just days later.
3 – Philadelphia over BUFFALO – Yes they’ve only lost one game, but I still just can’t get too much confidence in the Bills when they’re playing someone other than the Dolphins
2 – Green Bay over KANSAS CITY – The Chiefs aren’t hopeless without Patrick Mahomes, but their offense will lose the fire power needed to catch up with Aaron Rodgers
1 – CHICAGO over Los Angeles Chargers – Remember two months ago when this was a potential Super Bowl matchup?
