We’re almost done!

 

Just two more games to go and this year has been a solid one for us. If you have followed along all season you should be toward, if not at the top of your season long pool!

 

If you wanted to send my Christmas presents as a thank you, I won’t argue!

Week 16 – HERE WE GO!!!!

 

(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)

 

 

16 – KANSAS CITY over Atlanta – I’ve run out of reasons to explain why the Chiefs are going to win – you should just know by now.

 

15 – BALTIMORE over New York Giants – The AFC North has to feel pretty lucky that they drew the NFC East for their inter-conference opponents this year. 

 

14 – NEW ORLEANS over Minnesota – The Saints Christmas wish will be fulfilled as they get some revenge for the Minneapolis Miracle.

 

13 – Cleveland over NEW YORK JETS – This is so odd to say…but the Browns are going to win the division!

 

12 – ARIZONA over San Francisco – I think it’s safe to say the 9ers have called it a season already. 

 

11 – Buffalo over NEW ENGLAND – Yes the Bills have already locked up the division, but I’m sure they will be motivated to TAKE the torch from the Patriots rather than just be given it.

 

10 – HOUSTON over Cincinnati – The Bengals enjoyed their one high moment of the season last week…that should do it for them until the draft.

 

9 – LOS ANGELES CHARGERS over Denver – The battle for who gets to be not last in the AFC West takes center stage here. 

 

8 – DALLAS over Philadelphia – Two NFC East teams are playing each other…there you go.

 

7 – Tampa Bay over DETROIT –  I think it says a lot about Brady’s time in Tampa that I was thinking about picking the Lions in that one.

 

6 – Indianapolis over PITTSBURGH – Probably not the way the Steelers were planning on ending the season. My BOLD PREDICTION for this week is after starting the season 11-0, THE STEELERS WILL FINISH THE SEASON 11-5.

 

5 – Chicago over JACKSONVILLE – Trubisky has been playing pretty solid as of late…that may not be that great for the future of the Bears. 

 

4 – GREEN BAY over Tennessee – Derrick Henry will get his against the Packers D, but it won’t be enough.

 

3 – SEATTLE over Los Angeles Rams – If you lose at home to the Jets, you don’t get to win in Seattle.

 

2 – LAS VEGAS over Miami – Vegas is hanging on by a thread to post-season hopes – hopefully that will be enough motivation

 

1 – Carolina over WASHINGTON – A battle to see who will lower their chances at getting a solid quarterback in the draft next year.

 

Last week we had a lot of solid matchups, and we ended up doing pretty well hitting on 10 of 16 games. 

 

This week it seems like that matchups aren’t exactly playoff previews for the most part so we need to take advantage of the opportunity. This could be the week we solidify our spot on the top of the season-long pools.

 

Week 15 – HERE WE GO!!!!

 

(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)

 

16 – LOS ANGELES RAMS over New York Jets – The Rams are one of the hottest teams in the league. The Jets…try.

 

15 – TENNESSEE over Detroit – Name one player on the Lions defense that can contain Derrick Henry…better yet, name one player on the Lions defense, period! 

 

14 – GREEN BAY over Carolina – If you can’t win a home game against the Broncos, you don’t win a road game against the Packers.

 

13 – BALTIMORE over Jacksonville – There are just too many Lamar Jackson bathroom jokes going through my mind to pick just one. 

 

12 – INDIANAPOLIS over Houston – I’ve said it before, the Colts and Titans are going to give us the best divisional race to end the year.

 

11 – Pittsburgh over CINCINNATI – A game against the Bengals is just what the Steelers need at this point.

 

10 – Buffalo over DENVER – Some have the Bills as the best team in the league right now. I can think of a couple teams I would put ahead of them but wouldn’t complain about them being #1.

 

9 – ARIZONA over Philadelphia – The Kyler/Hurts matchup will just be fun to watch.

 

8 – LAS VEGAS over Los Angeles Chargers – The Raiders playoff hopes took a big blow last week. They NEED this win!

 

7 – Tampa Bay over ATLANTA –Tamp has benefited by having Brady under center, but not as much as you would think. My BOLD PREDICTION for this week is that TAMPA BAY WILL NOT WIN ONE PLAYOFF GAME. 

 

6 – MIAMI over New England – I don’t know about you, but after the last twenty years, it’s fun to watch the Pats lose division games!

 

5 – Kansas City over NEW ORLEANS – If you’re a gambler…bet the over! 

 

4 – MINNESOTA over Chicago – After last week, for the first time in months, I have a reason to have some hesitation in thinking the Bears will lose.

 

3 – Seattle over WASHINGTON – Seattle just seems like the most deceiving team in the league this year. You think they dominate, but they really don’t.

 

2 – DALLAS over San Francisco – Remember when this matchup would be must see TV?

 

1 – NEW YORK GIANTS over Cleveland – Just a pure hunch here – seems like this could be a trap game for the Browns.

No, fantasy football playoffs don’t necessarily have a direct impact on what we do here. BUT, not everyone makes the playoffs!

We’ve got a full slate of games this week with some very tough matchups – should provide the same level of drama for you had you made your playoffs!

 

..well, ok…almost as much!

 

Week 14 – HERE WE GO!!!!

 

(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)

 

16 – SEATTLE over New York Jets – It feels weird that there was a little hesitation to put the Seahawks on the top line against the Jets at home – but that’s where Seattle is right now. But…this should still be on the top line.

 

15 – LOS ANGELES RAMS over New England – The second part of the Patriots two-week SoFi Stadium trip won’t go nearly as smooth as the first part.

 

14 – Tennessee over JACKSONVILLE – I think it’s safe to say that the Titans and Colts will be the most exciting division race down the stretch.

 

13 – TAMPA BAY over Minnesota – If you barely beat Jacksonville at home, you’re not going to beat Tampa on the road.

 

12 – CAROLINA over Denver –Remember when I talked about several exciting matchups this week? Yeah…this isn’t one of them. 

 

11 – Kansas City over MIAMI – The Miami defense has been a pleasant surprise this year – but I don’t think they are ready to handle the Chiefs offense.

 

10 – New Orleans over PHILADELPHIA – New Orleans should thank the schedule makers for who they have had to play while Drew Brees sits on the bench.

 

9 – CLEVELAND over Baltimore – I really just don’t know how the Browns keep winning…but they do!

 

8 – Arizona over NEW YORK GIANTS – Kyler needs to get the Cardinals back on track if they want to win the division.

 

7 – LOS ANGELES CHARGERS over Atlanta – After a 45-0 loss, this will be a good test to see how Justin Herbert can keep the past in the past. 

 

6 – Washington over SAN FRANCISCO – Handing the Steelers their first loss will give you the benefit of the doubt in the battle 

of mediocrity.

 

5 – LAS VEGAS over Indianapolis – The Raiders need this game to keep their playoff hopes strong.

 

4 – BUFFALO over Pittsburgh – This was supposed to be the first loss of the season for the Steelers. My BOLD PREDICTION this week is THE STEELERS WILL NOT WIN A PLAYOFF GAME. 

 

3 – Houston over CHICAGO – Is Matt Nagy still coach? There is your answer.

 

2 – Green Bay over DETROIT – Was going to give the Lions the upset here, but Rodgers just has too much fun at Ford Field.

 

1 – CINCINNATI over Dallas – Has there been anything more anticipated this season than Andy Dalton’s return to Cincinnati??? Oh…there has?...A Lot?...Ah…OK…carry on… 

 

I, for one, was close to just adding the Ravens/Steelers game to this week’s picks as well!

 

 

But, week 12 ended, and week 13 is right around the corner. It was a big plug to have football on a Wednesday afternoon. On the flip side though, it means we have to wait until Sunday for the next week to start…but then there will be an extra Monday game! And a Tuesday game!

 

At least…that’s how the schedule looks at this second! So before any other changes are made to the schedule, let’s get going!

 

Week 13 – HERE WE GO!!!!

15 – KANSAS CITY over Denver – Well, at least the Broncos will have a quarterback this week!

 

14 – PITTSBURGH over Washington – The Steelers let an inferior Ravens teams hang around all game last week – I don’t see that happening again this week.

 

13 – GREEN BAY over Philadelphia – There is no reason to think the Packers won’t dominate this (sigh) potential playoff preview.

 

12 – SEATTLE over New York Giants – This matchup made me think and laugh a bit – whoever does get that elusive fifth win and take the NFC East crown – they will have to play a first-place schedule next season! 

 

11 – BALTIMORE over Dallas – Lamar is back…Dak is not! 

 

10 – MIAMI over Cincinnati – Unfortunately we don’t get the Tua/Burrow matchup we were hoping for. Lucky for the Dolphins they still have a little Fitzmagic in their back pocket. 

 

9 – MINNESOTA over Jacksonville – A home game against the Jags is something Minnesota desperately needs.

 

8 – LOS ANGELES CHARGERS over New England – I’m not saying that the Chargers are a playoff level team, but they are a lot better than their three win record shows.

 

7 – Buffalo over SAN FRANCISCO – It would be easy to put the Bills on a higher line playing on a neutral field, but it’s not like the 9ers are unfamiliar with the Cardinals stadium.

 

6 – TENNESSEE over Cleveland – It will be fun to see Derrick Henry collide with Myles Garrett.

 

5 – New Orleans over ATLANTA – It’s still No Brees No Problem in New Orleans

 

4 – CHICAGO over Detroit – Sure the Lions can pull this road win out, but at this point, the Bears are due to end the losing skid.

 

3 – Indianapolis over HOUSTON – The thought of being out of the running for the AFC South Championship better be enough motivation for the Colts.

 

2 – ARIZONA over Los Angeles Rams – This is just going to be a fun game to watch! 

 

1 – NEW YORK JETS over Las Vegas – I’m a Raiders fan…I know them…this is a game they lose. My BOLD PREDICTION for this week is, simply put, THE JETS WILL WIN A GAME!
