Fantasy football strategy, rankings, and podcasts

Week 7 is in the books and it's time to start winning now if you have plans on making it to the playoffs. We started off by laying out the injuries from last week, including Arian Foster, Josh McCown and Joseph Randle. We went over the waiver pickups that you need this week, and check out Troy's article for a breakdown of all the guys to pick up. We looked at some more trends this week and talked about the ones we looked at a few weeks ago. After reconciling our bets, we placed some new ones, as is tradition. Finally, we checked out a few players under the radar.

Week 13 is always an exciting one; in most leagues it's the last fantasy week before the playoffs begin and often times the wins and losses this week will determine the final post-season spots. Whether you're still in the running, or have long ago clinched your playoff berth, it's still important to make the right moves this week and look ahead to future weeks to try and position yourself for the best match-ups possible. This week Dave and I were joined by staff write Mike Mocerino for a good discussion of all of the injuries, waiver pickups and some trade options before diving into talk of what's to come in week 3. A ton of great beers joined Jason and I for the podcast this evening. We discussed a number of topics (news, injuries, waiver wire pickups, etc), but the introduction of player trends into our weekly discussions is the main focus of this episode.
