Welp, It only took three weeks! We have our first instance COVID situation of the season. While it may not be the last, at least now we have an idea what the standard protocol will be. It looks like we will be short a game this week, which means all points are just a tad more precious!
Week 4 – HERE WE GO!!!!
(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)
15 – GREEN BAY over Atlanta – Don’t ask the Falcons for change for a dollar, they wont have a 4th quarter to give you! (pause for hysterical laughter…or annoyed groan)
14 – TAMPA BAY over Los Angeles Chargers – The Chargers are showing a bit more fire with Herbert, but it won’t be near enough for their cross-country trip.
13 – LOS ANGELES RAMS over New York Giants – Aaron Donald vs a non-Saquon Barkley Giants backfield is just going to be fun for LA fans to watch.
12 – DALLAS over Cleveland – After another close loss for Jerry’s ‘Boys, they’ll have a lot of pent up aggression to take out on the lowly Browns.
11 – Baltimore over WASHINGTON – Lucky for Lamar Jackson he won’t have to worry about tough competition this week.
10 – KANSAS CITY over New England – I mean…will the Chiefs lose a game this year? My BOLD PREDICTION for this week is that THE CHIEFS WILL ONLY LOSE ONE GAME THIS YEAR…TOPS!
9 – Seattle over MIAMI – Fitzmagic can’t be cast against the Jaguars every week.
8 – HOUSTON over Minnesota – At this point, the Vikings should just hope their game gets postponed as well – they need a break.
7 – New Orleans over DETROIT – The Lions handled a high-power offense last week – don’t think they have it in them to do it twice in a row.
6 – Arizona over CAROLINA – Look for Kyler Murray to basically do whatever he wants against the Panthers D.
5 – Buffalo over LAS VEGAS – Josh Allen will have a field day against the Raiders defense.
4 – CINCINNATI over Jacksonville – The Jags couldn’t handle Ryan Fitzpatrick last week – Joe Burrow should have no problem.
3 – SAN FRANCISCO over Philadelphia – Yes this game should probably be higher but I still have doubts about this depleted 9ers squad.
2 – Indianapolis over CHICAGO – The Bears – If “Hey a win’s a win” was a football team.
1 – NEW YORK JETS over Denver – I just fell asleep.
We’re creeping up on the halfway point of the season already! Why is it that 2020 is moving along at a snail’s pace yet the football season seems to be going at light speed? Time is a jerk!
Well, that just means that we can’t have a bad week! We haven’t had one yet this year so let’s keep it going!
Week 8 – HERE WE GO!!!!
(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)
14 – KANSAS CITY over New York Jets – This is the game on the top line this week…and would probably be on the top line if we ranked every game this year.
13 – GREEN BAY over Minnesota – Last time these two played I said it would be a battle for division supremacy – now in Minnesota it’s a battle for Mike Zimmer to keep his job.
12 – BUFFALO over New England – It’s just fun to see the Patriots this high on the sheet…but on the wrong side.
11 – Tennessee over CINCINNATI – It’s going to be rough for Burrow’s Boys to handle this Titans team coming off a loss for the first time this year.
10 – CAROLINA over Atlanta – To sum up the Falcons this year, even a late Todd Gurley touchdown cost them the game last week!
9 – Tampa Bay over NEW YORK GIANTS – For some reason, the Giants are hosting a second Monday Night game – and this should go about as “good” as the last one where they also hosted a Super Bowl contender.
8 – SEATTLE over San Francisco – If ever there was a division where winning games against the division meant something! My BOLD PREDICTION for this week is that THE ENTIRE NFC WEST WILL MAKE THE PLAYOFFS.
7 – Los Angeles Rams over MIAMI – I have a feeling that Tua will try to do too much against a tough defense in his debut.
6 – Los Angeles Chargers over DENVER – This should be another week for Justin Herbert to solidify his spot as the top rookie of this class.
5 – PHILADELPHIA over Dallas – Not to get political or anything, but with the state that this country is in right now, I think it still makes sense to call the Cowboys “America’s Team”.
4 – New Orleans over CHICAGO – The Bears are in a stretch of their schedule that will probably knock them out of the playoff picture.
3 – Las Vegas over CLEVELAND – Defenses be damned, it will be a high scoring affair.
2 – BALTIMORE over Pittsburgh – Whichever team you want to back in this one, keep it low. This Game of the Week is a coin toss.
1 – DETROIT over Indianapolis – We’ll just call this the home team hunch of the week.
Football! Football! For the love of God after the week this country has had – FOOTBALL!!
Election Day has seemingly turned into Groundhog Day with no end in sight. Leave it to football to give us all an escape we so desperately need!
So let’s not waste any more time!
Week 9 – HERE WE GO!!!!
(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)
14 – KANSAS CITY over Carolina – Looks like Run CMC might be back in the Panthers backfield…unfortunately it will be in a week where need more than just him.
13 – TENNESSEE over Chicago – The Titans took a step back in Cincinnati last week. They should have no problem using the Bears to reassert their dominant impression.
12 – Pittsburgh over DALLAS – This…this could get ugly!
11 – GREEN BAY over San Francisco – I was excited about the possibility of actually having a solid Thursday Night Football matchup – that was before we knew the 9ers would be playing their 4th string.
10 – TAMPA BAY over New Orleans – These are not the same teams that played each other in week 1.
9 – ARIZONA over Miami – The Dolphins defense used up their one good game a year card last week and won't be able to handle Kyler.
8 – Houston over JACKSONVILLE – Houston has been struggling but at least they get to play against Jacksonville QB…um…named…anyway Texans win.
7 – MINNESOTA over Detroit – As long as Kirk Cousins doesn’t have to win a game, the Vikings have a chance. My BOLD PREDICTION for this week is that KIRK COUSINS WILL NOT BE THE QUARTERBACK OF THE VIKIGNS NEXT YEAR.
6 – Las Vegas over LOS ANGELES CHARGERS – Some may look at this and say that the Raiders this high is just a fan pick…well to that I say…yeah probably.
5 – Baltimore over INDIANAPOLIS – This is a tough one to call but I think Lamar will want to have a huge game after the Pittsburgh loss.
4 – WASHINGTON over New York Giants – NFC East teams are playing each other – pick the home team and walk away.
3 – ATLANTA over Denver – This was a Super Bowl matchup years ago…that’s about all the excitement I can get for this one.
2 – BUFFALO over Seattle – Seahawk losses will come few and far between this year – the Bills seem to have enough to be one of those few.
1 – New England over NEW YORK JETS – I can actually see the Jets win this game…this is where the Patriots are right now.
We have now reached double digits in the 2020 NFL season – we’re big boys and girls now!
Seriously though, in what has been the longest year in history, how is it that the football season has been moving at lightning speed? Not fair, world! Not fair at all!
So let’s not waste any more time!
Week 10 – HERE WE GO!!!!
(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)
14 – GREEN BAY over Jacksonville – I think the Packers loosened up the cobwebs built up against the Vikings last week against the 9ers.
13 – NEW ORLEANS over San Francisco – Really hard to see the rough stretch for San Francisco ending in the Superdome.
12 – PITTSBURGH over Cincinnati – A week ago you could see the Steelers in the top spot this week…but the struggles against the Cowboys gives us a little bit of hesitation – but not much.
11 – LAS VEGAS over Denver – I’ll give Drew Lock some credit, he looked pretty good last week – but most of it was garbage time…against the Falcons in the 4th quarter. Take it with a grain of salt.
10 – Baltimore over NEW ENGLAND – If you struggle against the Jets, you have no chance against the Ravens.
9 – DETROIT over Washington – The Lions should be able to give fans false hope with a win against Washington.
8 – CLEVELAND over Houston – A year or so ago you would have thought this would be an exciting matchup. Now…meh.
7 – Tampa Bay over CAROLINA – The Panthers could really have used McCafferey against an angry Tampa Bay team.
6 – MIAMI over Los Angeles Chargers – So, are the Dolphins legit?
5 – TENNESSEE over Indianapolis – You know, whoever wins doesn’t matter – let’s all just be glad we get a solid Thursday matchup! Keep in mind though that Derrick Henry loves him a Thursday Night Game.
My BOLD PREDICTION for this week is that DERRICK HENRY WILL HAVE OVER 200 YARDS RUSHING.
4 – Seattle over LOS ANGELES RAMS – Buffalo exposed some chinks in the Seahawks armor but I don’t think the Rams will be able to exploit them.
3 – Minnesota over CHICAGO – I hope I’m wrong, but this Bears’ team just seems too dysfunctional.
2 – ARIZONA over Buffalo – This is just going to be a fun game to watch!
1 – NEW YORK GIANTS over Philadelphia - NFC East matchup – pick the home team and move on.
