Two weeks in the books, and almost 1/3rd of the pool has been eliminated. Cleveland gave me a little bit of a scare when they trailed the Texans briefly last Sunday. But, we managed to get both picks through again. Seattle and Pittsburgh caused the most casualties last week, with no huge upsets occurring. After watching the Thursday game this week, I think I may have made a strategical error in not locking in a Panthers pick while I could. I stayed away because I'm not a Sam Darnold believer yet. After watching the Panthers offense for the first time this year, I'm not sure I will be able to trust them to win against any opponent other than Houston playing a rookie backup QB.
The Denver Broncos are my top pick this week. After starting the first two weeks on the road against a couple of tomato cans they return for their home opener to face the hapless Jets. That Denver crowd should be fired up and loud after a 2-0 start and that defense will cause fits for rookie Zach Wilson. Teddy Bridgewater should have another good game as well against a week Jets secondary.
I like the Broncos so much I almost wanted to use them for both picks. But alas strange things can happen in the NFL, so I want to spread out my eggs a little bit. My second pick for the week is the Arizona Cardinals. After narrowly escaping the Vikings last week on a missed field goal at the end of the game the Cardinals travel to Jacksonville to feast on the winless Jags. The undefeated Cardinals are just too powerful on offense for Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars to hang.
Lots of good games this weekend should make for a fun Sunday!

Last week went down just like it's supposed to. The Colts scored a touchdown in the first quarter, which would have been enough to beat the Texans. But, they decided to put up a bunch more on their way to a 31-3 shellacking. If you went with me, and the majority, you were sipping champagne by halftime!
Gonna keep it short and sweet this week. The Arizona Cardinals are the pick against our familiar opponent, the Houston Texans. Starting to notice a theme in my picks the last 3 weeks. Not much to explain here. The Cardinals are yet to lose and are favored by more than 2 touchdowns in this game at home. This also is the best spot for the Cardinals as I look through the remainder of their schedule, but I guess you could say that about most teams on their Texans week. So this week just sit back and relax, tougher weeks are down the road.

The number 13 has an odd aura around it.
The NFL seems to be doing its part to add to that way of thinking with some of the matchups in Week 13.
If you have been following along with me, you know that I am hesitant to have road teams too high and we have a few different games that could make me forget that rule. Thank God the Jags are in LA this week!
Not only that, but there are a few matchups that make us say “Who knew?” as you’ll see as you read on.
So let’s not waste any more time!
Week 13 – HERE WE GO!!!!
(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)
14 – LOS ANGELES RAMS over Jacksonville – A home game against a Jaguars team that now also has to deal with Urban Meyer going back to college rumors is the cure for what ails the Rams.
13 – Tampa Bay over ATLANTA – So Cordarrelle Patterson is listed as a Safety for Atlanta – it’s like a baseball team down 15 in the 9th that brings the Left Fielder in to pitch…they’ve given up.
12 – Arizona over CHICAGO –The Cardinals being this high is contingent on Kyler and Hopkins suiting up. If they don’t, they still win but drop them down a few lines.
11 – Indianapolis over HOUSTON – I had faith in the Texans last week, that was my first mistake.
10 – KANSAS CITY over Denver – Who knew this game would have meaning towards the race for the AFC West crown?
9 – CINCINNATI over Los Angeles Chargers – The Bengals this season have been what the Chargers were supposed to be.
8 – Minnesota over DETROIT – I had a bold prediction early in the season that the Lions would have the worst record – but now…my BOLD PREDICTION is that THE LIONS WILL BECOME THE FIRST FRANCHISE WITH TWO WINLESS SEASONS.
7 – Dallas over NEW ORLEANS – Who knew that the Cowboys would need to win this game to keep the lock on the top of the division they used to have?
6 – MIAMI over New York Giants – The Dolphins defense is sure to keep Daniel Jones in his downward spiral this week.
5 – Philadelphia over NEW YORK JETS – Who knew these two teams played? … is what we will probably all be saying after this game ends.
4 – LAS VEGAS over Washington – The Raiders showed a little life last week. Maybe they can keep the last few seasons in the past and not fall apart in the second half of the season…but they still should be kept on a low line.
3 – BUFFALO over New England – Who knew the defending AFC runner ups would be on such a low number at home against a rookie quarterback and a team that is in rebuild mode?
2 – SEATTLE over San Francisco – Who knew it would be a tough decision to say the Seahawks would win this division matchup at home?
1 – PITTSBURGH over Baltimore – This just seems like one of those games the Steelers will win…no real scientific reasoning behind it.
