6/10/14, 2014 Draft - Potpourri, Let's Talk RB, The Scythe
This week, Dave and I are back to our normal degenerate ways and made a slightly larger bet than normal. This time, we have simply bet "barbecue". The fulfillment of that term will be up to the loser, but our bet is an over/under for Giovani Bernard scoring 211.1 points. Dave has the under and I have the over.
Last week we came up with the WR list, and this week we ranked our top 10 RB's.
1. Purple Jesus (Adrian Peterson)
2. Jamaal Charles
3. LeSean "Shady" McCoy
4. Matt Forte
5. Eddie Lacy
6. Marshawn Lynch
7. LeVeon Bell
8. Arian Foster
9. DeMarco Murray
10. Doug Martin
This week we enjoyed some Stone Go To IPA and Hopalicious from Ale Asylum in Madison. Both are excellent beers, and of course being hop heads, we picked two IPA's. We also enjoyed a little of the Wild Turkey Rye Whiskey, which is, of course, delicious.
Game of Thrones was rather epic this week. The battle at the Wall was everything we expected and more, definitely outshining the Battle of the Blackwater. Make sure to check out my breakdown of the episode, and we've got just one more to go in the season, and then on to something new.
Finally, we got into the fight of the year. The Mountain vs the Red Viper was pretty sweet, and we both agree that they pulled it off flawlessly. Check out my review of the episode here.

The preseason rolls on, and so do ankles, Achilles tendons and ACL's. This week has been set aside to discuss the running back position. The guys who carry the load, perhaps the most important position to deal with early in the draft (whether you take one or not). Listen to this week's podcast below, but while you do, check out our Running Back rankings, as well as the rest of the positions.

We talked about some of the undervalued RB's, like Antone Smith, Danny Woodhead, Giovani Bernard and Chris Ivory. We also clue you in about who to avoid, overvalued guys like Rashad Jennings, Bishop Sankey, Isaiah Crowell and Carlos Hyde. Finally, we break down one of the most impressive rookie RB classes in recent years.

Week 3 brings us some actual trends that we can use to help our rankings be just a touch more predictive, which is great news! And, as always, injuries early in the season have turned some fantasy bench-warmers into every-week starters: Tevin Coleman and Giovani Bernard are great examples of top 20 RB plays this week (in standard - higher in PPR) that would have been much lower on the rankings if not for injuries to starters Devonta Freeman and Joe Mixon, respectively. We're also looking at Cam Newton, Kenny Stills, and Will Fuller as great WR plays for week 3. Good luck and feel free to reach out on Twitter at @drinkfive with your lineup questions. Cheers!
We're excited to usher in Week 1 of the 2019 Fantasy Football season this week, and with it comes the return of our weekly rankings. Whether you're in 1 league or 10, make sure to use our rankings to help determine both who to pick up on the waiver wire and also which players are the best for your starting lineup from week to week. In week 1 we have identified some players that we expect to perform at a higher level than most analysts expect, such as: Giovani Bernard, DeDe Westbrook, Ted Ginn, and Tyler Eifert. But things change constantly, so keep vigilant!
Pay attention to these rankings throughout the week, as they will continue to evolve based on the latest injury updates, news, and player/matchup analysis. Good luck this season and remember, you can tweet us @drinkfive with any of your lineup questions!
