Hard to get off to a better start than that!
This is why you come back every week, folks! Hitting on 14 of 16 games in week 1…arguably the hardest week to predict?? You’re welcome, all!
So let’s keep the momentum going!
Week 2 – HERE WE GO!!!!
(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)
16 – BALTIMORE over Cleveland – After last week, it was a dumb idea for the Browns to further upset Derrick Henry. My BOLD PREDICTION for this week is that DERRICK HENRY WILL RUN FOR AT LEAST 200 YARDS.
15 – PITTSBURGH over Seattle – Remember how Brett Favre’s career seemed to be revitalized the year after he left the Jets?
14 – ARIZONA over Carolina – Yes they beat the Saints, but this pick is more anti-Panthers than pro-Cardinals.
13 – DETROIT over Chicago – Safe the say the Lions will want to show the world that they’re still a force in the league.
12 – MINNESOTA over Atlanta –Apparently JJ McCarthy just doesn’t know how to lose a game.
11 – CINCINNATI over Jacksonville – Over … … … take the over here
10 – DALLAS over New York Giants – Jaxson Dart should start to get warmed up.
9 – Los Angeles Rams over TENNESSEE – It will be an interesting fight this season between the Titans and Saints to see who gets to pick first next year
8 – Buffalo over NEW YORK JETS – This game would obviously be higher on our list if the Jets didn’t show us a little something last week.
7 – GREEN BAY over Washington – Unfortunately for us, the potential game of the week will be over before Sunday noon kickoffs.
6 – INDIANAPOLIS over Denver – Did Daniel Jones really just need to get out of New York?
5 – LAS VEGAS over Los Angeles Chargers – Not saying we’ll see another 60+ point outbursts, but watching the Raiders play the Chargers in primetime can always be fun for Raiders fans.
4 – Tampa Bay over HOUSTON – If you’re gonna start the season with back to back road games, Atlanta and Houston aren’t horrible options.
3 – Philadelphia over KANSAS CITY – The Super Bowl rematch will show us that not much has changed since early February.
2 – MIAMI over New England – I don’t think a team needs to win more this week than the Dolphins.
1 – NEW ORLEANS over San Francisco – I feel like the Saints are going to be the “put them on the 1-point line if you think they will win” team this season.
Things are starting to take shape.
Teams are starting to show who they are and thoughts of just being a “fluke win” or a “fluke loss” are flying out the window. Now that we have seen a few games, we have a pretty good idea what the league really looks like for this season.
Yeah, I know, the thought that we have a handle on how the teams are going to look this season after just two weeks is indeed pretty funny.
Week 3 – HERE WE GO!!!!
(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)
16 – BUFFALO over Miami – Not going to waste time explaining this one.
15 – TAMPA BAY over New York Jets – This MIGHT have been a few lines lower if Justin Fields was playing…but not much.
14 – Green Bay over CLEVELAND – I absolute hate how scary the Packers are looking this year. My BOLD PREDICTION for this week is that THE PACKERS WILL REPRESENT THE NFC IN THE SUPER BOWL.
13 – SEATTLE over New Orleans – A win in Pittsburgh might not be the biggest way to show you’re a solid team, but it sure is a way to show you’ll have an easy time against the Saints.
12 – Kansas City over NEW YORK GIANTS – I don’t think there is a team that needs to play the Giants more than the Chiefs right now.
11 – MINNESOTA over Cincinnati – Took us three weeks to get to a battle of backup quarterbacks.
10 – BALTIMORE over Detroit – The Lions deserve to be on the losing side this high until they can prove they can win big games with new coordinators.
9 – PHILADELPHIA over Los Angeles Rams – I don’t know when the Eagles will lose this season.
8 – JACKSONVILLE over Houston – I feel like Jacksonville will be the replacement for Houston in the top of the AFC South.
7 – WASHINGTON over Las Vegas – No Jayden Daniels…no problem
6 – Indianapolis over TENNESSEE – Indiana Jones…how can you hate Indiana Jones?
5 – LOS ANGELES CHARGERS over Denver – Is this a game that will go a long way to determine the AFC Champion?
4 – SAN FRANCISCO over Arizona – Apparently a massive amount of injuries doesn’t deter the 9ers much.
3 – Dallas over CHICAGO – Storied franchises that have absolutely no direction…so this will be fun to watch!
2 – Pittsburgh over New England – Apparently week 1 was less about the Jets coming to the Steelers level than it was the Steelers falling to the Jets level
1 – CAROLINA over Atlanta – The Panthers can’t go winless, so lets get one of their two wins out of the way.
And what a difference a week makes!
Last week, we had a decent amount of games that were sure fire picks. This week, we have a LOT more games that are pick’em’s to say the least!
Well, last week a few too many “sure fire’s” were apparently not that sure a thing…maybe more toss-up’s will mean more correct picks this week!
Week 4 – HERE WE GO!!!!
(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)
16 – BUFFALO over New Orleans – The Saints are a 16+ point underdog for the first time in over 50 years … … … anyone gonna argue?
15 – DETROIT over Cleveland – Every team gets at least one game they win that they shouldn’t have – the Browns used theirs a little too early.
14 – DENVER over Cincinnati – A Burrow-less Bengals offense just made the Vikings defense look like the ’85 Bears reincarnated.
13 – LOS ANGELES RAMS over Indianapolis – Indiana Jones is about the meet a rolling boulder for the first time and I don’t think he can dodge this one.
12 – HOUSTON over Tennessee – The Titans just don’t seem to be able to compete with, well, anyone at this point. My BOLD PREDICTION is that NICK CHUBB WILL HAVE OVER 150 YARDS.
11 – Los Angeles Chargers over NEW YORK GIANTS – I am very intrigued by a Jaxson Dart-led offense, just not in a winning effort this week.
10 – NEW ENGLAND over Carolina – Remember what I said about the Browns a few lines ago?
9 – Minnesota over PITTSBURGH – The Steelers seem destined for a .500 year…and they won last week.
8 – SAN FRANCISCO over Jacksonville – The Jags have been trying to give wins away, the 9ers should be more than willing to let them.
7 – ATLANTA over Washington – Maybe drop this down a few lines if Jayden Daniels plays, but the Falcons should still win.
6 – Seattle over ARIZONA – Who knew this might go a long way in deciding the NFC West this season.
5 – Green Bay over DALLAS – Green Bay gave us obvious reasons to doubt them last week.
4 – MIAMI over New York Jets – Remember when Monday Night Football was exciting?
3 – KANSAS CITY over Baltimore – The Ravens could be 1-3 … that’s weird.
2 – TAMPA BAY over Philadelphia – Just sit back, this will be an entertaining one!
1 – LAS VEGAS over Chicago – Pick whoever you want, just put it on the one-point line.
As we head into week 5, we head into our second week of the International Series. This week we are sending the Browns over to London while keeping the Vikings Jaguars in Europe a second straight week because the Vikings apparently deserve the Jacksonville Jaguar treatment now.
This, like last week, means that our Sunday is getting an early start. So if you are like me and wait until Sunday morning to do your final fantasy/confidence tweaking, remember to set your alarm!
Week 5 – HERE WE GO!!!!
(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)
14 – LOS ANGELES RAMS over San Francisco – Mac Jones under center shot this game to the top on our list … for the Rams.
13 – ARIZONA over Tennessee – Haven’t seen a reason to have any kind of confidence in the Titans yet.
12 – INDIANAPOLIS over Las Vegas – Well at least Ashton Jeanty finally decided to join the league!
11 – BUFFALO over New England – This might be closer than you think, but no way the Bills lose.
10 – PHILADELPHIA over Denver – I’m not saying they’ll go undefeated, but I don’t know how we’re not picking the Eagles every week this season. My BOLD PREDICTION for this week is that THE EAGLES WILL LOSE TWO GAMES OR LESS THIS SEASON.
9 – Detroit over CINCINNATI – A lack of a QB trade has shown the Bengals don’t care about losing.
8 – Minnesota over CLEVELAND – Carson Wentz seems to be pulling a Sam Darnold and putting JJ McCarthy’s job in question again this season.
7 – Kansas City over JACKSONVILLE – Xavier Worthy being back is a bigger deal than people are letting on for the Chiefs.
6 – BALTIMORE over Houston – Obviously confidence takes a hit with Lamar’s injury status, but the Ravens can still pull this one out.
5 – CAROLINA over Miami – The Dolphins confusion on offense is going up against a team that scored a shutout in their last home game.
4 – LOS ANGELES CHARGERS over Washington – A healthy Jayden Daniels makes me a little weary in a Chargers win this week.
3 – Tampa Bay over SEATTLE – Who knew when the season started that this matchup would have potential to be the Game of the Week?
2 – NEW YORK JETS over Dallas – Putting a New York team to win at home at the two-point line because…
1 – New York Giants over NEW ORLEANS - …you have to put a New York team winning on the road on the one-point line.
Please wait...
