NFL Confidence Pool Picks & Strategy 2019 - Week 8 Featured

We are at the heart of the fantasy football season!

At this point, you know whether or now you have a chance to make your playoffs. If you don’t, well that’s just another reason the confidence pool is so great! Even if you are down big in your year-long pool, it just takes a couple weeks to climb from the bottom of the board to the top. So no matter where you are sitting in the standings now, you’re still in it!

Week 8 – HERE WE GO!!!!

(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)

15 – LOS ANGELES RAMS over Cincinnati – After an unexpectedly slow start for the defending NFC Champs, back to back games against the Falcons and Bengals I’m sure are more than welcome.

14 – MINNESOTA over Washington – Bad news for the Vikes is that Adam Thielen is out. Good news is that they host the Redskins, soooooooooo…does it matter?

13 – JACKSONVILLE over New York Jets – Insert “seeing ghosts” related joke here>

12 – SAN FRANCISCO over Carolina – OK, this has to stop at some point, the 9ers won’t be going 16-0 this season…loss number one just won’t be coming yet.

11 – INDIANAPOLIS over Denver – Jacoby Brissett is… … … legit?

10 – NEW ORLEANS over Arizona – Drew? Drew who? … ok let’s not go crazy, it’s Drew Brees and he’ll be back soon but the Saints have done just fine without him.

9 – PITTSBURGH over Miami – Yes, this would be a lot bolder if done earlier in the season, but my BOLD PREDICTION for this week is that THE DOLPHINS WILL FINISH THE SEASON 0-16. If a home game against the Redskins won’t get them in the win column, Miami doesn’t really have too many other chances.

8 – DETROIT over New York Giants – I wonder how good the Lions would look if they weren’t in the NFC North.

7 – TENNESSEE over Tampa Bay – I don’t live in Nashville or Florida so this game does nothing for me.

6 – NEW ENGLAND over Cleveland – Well at least the Patriots are transitioning from playing bad teams to at least playing bad teams that should have been good.

5 – Seattle over ATLANTA – With the game and a recent matchup in Cleveland, the Seahawks road schedule ended up being a lot easier than I’m sure they thought it would be.

4 – HOUSTON over Oakland – Can’t say it was too smart of the Raiders to trade one of their starting cornerbacks to the team are playing just days later.

3 – Philadelphia over BUFFALO – Yes they’ve only lost one game, but I still just can’t get too much confidence in the Bills when they’re playing someone other than the Dolphins

2 – Green Bay over KANSAS CITY – The Chiefs aren’t hopeless without Patrick Mahomes, but their offense will lose the fire power needed to catch up with Aaron Rodgers

1 – CHICAGO over Los Angeles Chargers – Remember two months ago when this was a potential Super Bowl matchup?
